Operations Analyst- London/New york

About us

Sharegain began with one question: If the largest institutions solely exercise the right to lend their stocks, bonds, and ETFs, what would it take to unlock this revenue opportunity for every investor?

Our team of experts in the US, UK and Israel built the solution: a platform that empowers online brokers, private banks, and wealth managers to offer securities lending to their clients. We call it SLaaS: Securities Lending as a Service. It’s a fully digital, customizable, end-to-end solution that automates front- and back-office operations. Institutions and investors are now free to earn more from what they own.

Every Sharegainer has their own backstory, but we all share an ambition to do things differently – bigger, better, and greater. Together we’re on a mission to democratize capital markets by building a more liquid world. The more we share, the more we all gain.

We're seeking to hire an Operations Analyst, based in either London or New York, someone who has a good understanding of the securities lending market and importantly someone with the confidence to work and evolve processes independently.

Due to the size of the team, this diverse role will involve senior responsibilities - setting up relevant Operational processes and procedures - whilst at the same time performing many of the Operational functions. The successful candidate will be expected to identify and build new and automated processes, working closely with R&D teams in addition to daily responsibilities for the BAU management of operations functions.

Responsibilities

  • Daily management of all post-trade responsibilities and lifecycle maintenance

  • Create bespoke client solutions that meet the requirements of the SEC customer protection rules regarding collateral segregation

  • Support the operations of the US office of a rapidly growing broker dealer

Required skills

  • 2+ years in US/UK securities lending operations, with strong grasp of settlement and cash/non-cash collateral movement

  • Broad trade lifecycle experience: settlements, reconciliations (Pirum a plus), exposure management (incl. Triparty), KYC, corporate actions, and client reporting

  • Working knowledge of cross-border lending — tax treatment of substitute payments, collateral structures, and operational models across brokers, clearing firms, and asset/wealth managers

  • Global fixed income and/or equity support experience (essential)

  • FINRA SIE and Series 99 required (Series 27 a plus); clean FINRA record

Additional skills

  • You are a self-driven individual with humility, integrity, and a positive attitude who feels comfortable working both as an individual contributor and in support of full post trade life-cycle;

  • You work hard and take the time to care about supporting personal growth;

  • Role will necessitate ownership of tasks and autonomy; accountability and risk management;

  • Ability to demonstrate and apply initiative and problem solve on your own is imperative;

  • Environment is dynamic, and your contribution to the business evolution will be essential;

  • As the business grows, you will be responsible in supporting the growth and change in Operational functions accordingly, working closely with the senior management team on strategy and priority;

  • Strong-minded yet quick to admit mistakes, open and collaborative;

Sharegain is an equal opportunity employer. Employees and contractors, as well as prospective employees and contractors, will all be treated equally and fairly. We are passionate in our belief that a diverse workforce is central to our success, and we are proud to reflect this within our recruiting processes.
